Girl, 13, Pulled From Maywood Pool

A 13-year-old girl was pulled from the municipal pool in Maywood on Labor Day, police said.

A lifeguard quickly got to the drowning teen, witnesses said.

The good news: She was alert and conscious when EMS took her to Hackensack University Medical Center, Maywood Police Detective Sgt. William Phayre said.
